Luxury Christmas in Alnwick

Day 1

Morning collection from your local pick-up point. We travel North, calling at Durham for lunch and some free time. We begin our Christmas with cream tea & mulled wine (scone, jam & cream) on arrival at the hotel. Why not join us in some local gin tasting! Settle into your room before enjoying a delicious 3 course evening meal in the Olympic Suite.

Day 2

After a delicious breakfast, choose to have a day at leisure in Alnwick or join us on an excursion to Berwick-upon-Tweed. With fresh air, sea, friendly folk and rich history - Berwick-upon-Tweed is a place full of unexpected sights and un-explored places. Adventuring down alleyways, stumbling upon hidden courtyards, climbing up sand dunes, peering at medieval remains. We return to the hotel in the afternoon to freshen up before tonight’s Christmas Eve celebrations. The hotel management will officially welcome guests at a drink’s reception. Dinner is served in the Olympic suite followed by a festive pub quiz.

Day 3

Merry Christmas everyone! Breakfast is served with a glass of buck’s fizz. After breakfast we have a festive schedule for the wonderful day ahead. Today is full board, so eat your fill with a delicious Christmas Day Lunch. During the afternoon you can join in watching the Kings Speech and take part in a festive prize bingo, Christmas Cake & Northumbrian cheese will also be served. Later, we have a light buffet dinner.

Day 4

A breakfast banquet is served in the Olympic suite accompanied by our resident pianist. Afterwards, you can either spend the day at your leisure in Alnwick or join us on an excursion to Seahouses for a bit of fresh sea air. Here, you can take a walk along the harbour or squirrel yourself away into a cosy pub, but we advise having a fish and chip lunch from any of the lovely cafes. Rejoin the coach mid-afternoon and head back to the hotel with some time to relax before preparing for another fantastic night.

Day 5

After breakfast, we make our way home, calling at the Metro Centre for a lunch stop.
