Belvoir Castle and Belton Trail of Lights

Day 1

Morning departure from your local pick-up point and we make our way to Waterside Shopping centre in Lincoln for some free time and a lunch break. Later, we journey on to the hotel for an afternoon check in. You have some free time to relax in the bar, take advantage of the spa facilities or perhaps walk around the grounds before joining everyone downstairs for your 3-course evening meal.

Day 2

After breakfast, we visit Melton Mowbray on market day. Why not grab some bargains from the stalls and stock up on the famous Melton Mowbray pork pies. This afternoon, we rejoin the coach and head to Belvoir Castle. Begin the festive season with a visit to The Belvoir Retail Village, where twinkling lights and seasonal charm set the perfect scene for your Christmas shopping. Christmas at Belvoir is truly special, discover hand-crafted gifts from local artisans or indulge in a festive hot drink from the Bistro.

Day 3

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, today we have an excursion to Nottingham Christmas Market. The Market at Nottingham Winter Wonderland is renowned as one of the best in Europe.  With so much to do and see, it’s a festive packed day out! The stalls offer something for everyone including artisan cheeses, plants, homemade chutneys, mead, jewellery, scents, fashion, retro style, continental food and home accessories. We rejoin the coach and visit Belton House with its magical trail of lights; after-dark festive fun for everyone. Discover a meadow of light stretching out into the distance, colour-changing, larger-than-life neon string flowers, candles floating high into the sky and batons of light that shine all the colours of the rainbow. Grab a seasonal snack from one of the hand-picked street food vendors who bring an indulgent twist to tempting treats on offer. Complete your walk under the stars with a perfectly festive spiced winter warmer, hot chocolate or toasted marshmallow. We return to the hotel for a slightly later evening meal.

Day 4

Enjoy a final breakfast before saying farewell.  We make our way back home with a stop at East Midlands Designer Outlet along the way for lunch.
