Alnwick Luxury Break

Day 1

Morning collection from your local pick-up point. We travel North, calling at Durham for lunch and some free time. We rejoin the coach early afternoon and head to The White Swan Hotel. After checking in, you have some time to settle into your room before enjoying a delicious 3 course evening meal. Whilst you enjoy your freshly prepared food, you are surrounded by the original panelling, mirrors, ceiling and stained glass salvaged from RMS Olympic sister ship of RMS Titanic.

Day 2

After breakfast, we have an excursion to Holy Island. Just a short drive away, Holy Island is a pint-sized island that holds pubs and cafes a-plenty, coastal Lindisfarne Castle and ancient Lindisfarne Priory. Admire staggering views as you go and feel as though you are entering a secret world as you approach the Island. After stopping for lunch, we visit Alnwick Castle. Alnwick Castle has over 950 years of history to discover, and the origins of the Castle date back to the Norman Period. The second largest inhabited castle in the UK, Alnwick has served as a military outpost, a teaching college, a refuge for evacuees, a film set, and not least as a family home. Delve deeper into this extraordinary history and travel through the centuries of this living, evolving castle. After returning to the hotel, relax and refresh before joining us in the Olympic Suite restaurant for another delicious evening meal.

Day 3

After breakfast, we make our way home, calling at the Metro Centre for a lunch stop.
