Torquay Summer Break

Day 1

Morning departure from your local pickup point, we make our way to Torquay arriving at the hotel late afternoon. Settle into your room before enjoying a delicious evening meal. Begin your holiday by checking out tonight's entertainment.

Day 2

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, today is a free day in Torquay. Explore Torquay at your own pace and discover its bustling harbour and marina, the quaint independent shops and it's endless cafes and eateries. Alternatively, relax in the hotel, enjoy the spa facilities or join in with the day time activities.

Day 3

We have an exciting day of exploring as we visit The Babbecombe Model Village and Kents Cavern in the afternoon, followed by cream tea. Feel like a giant as you step through the small entrance and the vast miniature world opens up before you. Explore 4 acres of award-winning gardens showcasing hundreds of uniquely hand-crafted model scenes, vehicles & people.
After lunch, we head to Kents Cavern, one of the most important Stone Age sites in Europe and one of Britain's best showcaves! On your visit you'll have a guided tour and go back to a time when the cave was home to ancient humans, sheltering from extreme weather, making fires, shaping tools and hunting Ice Age animals. As you walk through the extensive labyrinth of caverns, you'll be surrounded by 400-million-year-old rocks and spectacular stalagmites and stalactites. Afterwards, we have a delightful cream tea in the Café.
Kents Cavern & Babbacombe model village are both accessible.

Day 4

The morning is at leisure in the nearby fishing town of Brixham. The town is one of the busiest fishing ports in the UK and is home to some of the finest sea food you can think of. We return to Torquay for the afternoon.

Day 5

We have an exciting excursion to Paignton Zoo, one of Torquays top attractions. Paignton Zoo is a fantastic day out with a wide mix of fascinating wildlife including Tigers, Gorillas, Red Pandas, Lions, Giraffes and many more! With cafes, gardens and keeper talks, Paignton Zoo is fun for all the family and all ages.

Day 6

We start the day in Teignmouth. The coastal town is a treasure trove with historic Georgian buildings, long sandy beaches, and fresh local food. We continue to Dawlish, a traditional seaside town centred around The Lawn and Brook, which is home to the famous black swans.

Day 7

After enjoying our final breakfast and morning in the hotel, we say goodbye to Torquay and make our return journey home.
