Wye Valley

Day 1

Morning departure from your local pickup point we make our way to Lichfield. Enjoy some time at leisure for sightseeing, shopping and lunch before continuing to the hotel.

Day 2

We begin the day in Monmouth, a lovely Georgian market town in Wales well known for its iconic 13th century gatehouse bridge. In the afternoon we enjoy a relaxing cruise along the River Wye.

Day 3

Our first stop of the day is Chepstow. The town is dominated by Britain’s oldest surviving post-Roman stone castle and is well worth a visit; or you may prefer a leisurely stroll through the town. From here we make a short journey to the Dean Forest Railway. Sit back and enjoy the nostalgic journey through the beautiful woodland and countryside whilst indulging in scones with clotted cream and jam and tea/coffee.

Day 4 (5 day tour only)

Take a step back in time as our excursion visits the famous Black & White villages of Weobley, Pembridge and Leominster. These medieval villages have some of England’s prettiest half-timbered buildings and sit amid tranquil orchards and farmland. Dipping into their art galleries, cosy pubs and traditional tearooms only adds to the sense of stepping back in time.

Day 4/5

After breakfast we check out of the hotel, travel to Shrewsbury. The historic centre is a shoppers paradise and is packed with all the shops, cafes and bars you could wish for! Mid afternoon we continue our journey home arriving into local areas early evening.
