Dumfries by Candlelight

Join us on this lovely Christmas break as we stay at the Eglinton Arms Hotel. Dumfries House is one of Britain's most beautiful stately homes and best kept heritage secrets, with sumptuous interiors and magnificent furnishings. You'll have a private guided tour with the house dressed for Christmas.

Day 1

Morning departure from your local pick up point, we make our way to the hotel arriving late afternoon. On arrival, we will be greeted with mince pies and mulled wine.

Day 2

This morning we have a short stop in the town of Kilmarnock before spending the afternoon at Dumfires House. Uncover the history of this stately home and see antiques and beautiful furnishings surrounded by festive decorations as the house is prepared for the Christmas season. We indulge in afternoon tea to complete our visit.

Day 3

Full day in Glasgow. Head to St Enoch Square and George Square for some Glaswegian festive cheer and pick up some last minute Christmas presents.

Day 4

After breakfast, rejoin the the coach for the return journey home.

Eglinton Arms

Eglinton Arms Hotel in Eaglesham is a modern boutique hotel yet still retains some of its former coaching inn features. The contemporary Scottish theme thoughout, with its feature fireplaces, and soft furnishings ensure this 3 star hotel near Glasgow offers the cosy atmosphere to be expected in a country-style location.
