Scottish Turkey & Tinsel

Day 1

Morning departure from your local pickup point, we make our way North to Perth arriving at the hotel late afternoon.

Day 2

Free day in Perth. As we are staying in the centre of Perth, all the local attractions and shops are just a short walk away. Explore the city at your leisure with ancient lanes and alleyways leading to a modern shopping hub as well as a host of museums and galleries.

Day 3

Today we travel to Dundee starting at V&A Museum. Scotland’s first design museum is the global home of the country’s design heritage. The museum gives an insight into over 500 years of brilliance, ingenuity and achievement in Scottish creativity as well as the best examples of design from around the world. Onwards to Discovery Point, just a few minutes walk from V&A. Follow in the footsteps of Captain Scott and his heroic team as we find out about the Heroes of the Ice who braved the harsh conditions of the Antarctic and hear their stories of the ship’s voyage first-hand. Afterwards there will be some free time in Dundee.

Day 4

Today we visit Glamis Castle. For 650 years, Glamis Castle has been on a grand journey through Scottish history, from inspiring famous playwrights to welcoming royalty. Once host to Mary, Queen of Scots, Glamis is said to have inspired one of Shakespeare’s most famous plays, Macbeth. During the tour, you will visit the Dining Room, Crypt, Drawing Room, Chapel, Billiard Room, King Malcolm’s Room, Royal Apartments, Duncan’s Hall and the Family Exhibition Room.

Day 5

After a leisurely breakfast, we bid farewell and make our way home.
