Blackpool & Lake District (Sail & Rail)

Take a midweek break to the fun-filled seaside resort of Blackpool. We stay at one of Blackpool's top rated hotels, the Ruskin, which is well known for its superb entertainment, delicious meals and welcoming hospitality.

Day 1

Morning departure from your local pickup point, we make our way to Skipton. Here we have a few hours for sightseeing and shopping before continuing to Blackpool.

Day 2

Free day in Blackpool. Within just a 10 minute walk from the hotel you can reach the top attractions such as the famous Tower, Central and North Pier as well as the town centre.

Day 3

We begin the day in Bowness with free time to explore the popular town. In the afternoon we take a boat trip to Lakeside then board the Haverthwaite & Lakeside Railway to Haverthwaite where the coach will be waiting to take us back to Blackpool.

Day 4

Morning visit to Fleetwood Market, a traditional seaside coastal market with an enormous variety of stalls - a shopper's paradise! We return to Blackpool for the afternoon.

Day 5

We bid farewell to Blackpool and make our way home, making a stop at Bury’s World Famous Market.

Ruskin Hotel

Located close to the town centre, the 3* Ruskin Hotel offers modern guest rooms, tasty freshly made meals and popular live entertainment. From the hotel it is just a 5 minute walk to Blackpool Tower and its attractions including Sea Life Centre and Madame Tussauds. The hotel has a lift.
