Charming Cheshire

Join us on our new tour to Cheshire where quaint towns and villages can be found dotted throughout the largely unspoilt rural landscape; which blossoms all year round and especially during the summer months. Meanwhile, the City of Chester provides top-class shopping, entertainment and dining opportunities. Take a walk in the beautiful Cheshire sunshine with friends and family, stop off for refreshments and a hearty meal in one of the delightful pubs and inns around.

Day 1

Morning departure from your local pickup point to beautiful Buxton. Spend a couple of hours at your leisure. You may choose to explore the Buxton Museum and Art Gallery, visit the historical landmark of Solomon’s temple, discover adventure at Poole’s Cavern or simply settle into a nice cafe or pub for a spot of lunch.

Day 2

Today we visit Port Sunlight, the village founded by ‘Soap King’ William Hesketh Lever in 1888. The village was built to house Lever’s ‘Sunlight Soap’ factory workers, but today is home to a fascinating museum, beautiful architecture, a world-class art gallery, stunning parkland and a thriving community. After lunch, we head off to the village-style Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet before our short trip back to the hotel.

Day 3

Today we have a lovely excursion to Chester, arguably, the UK's most underrated city. The city is hailed for its 'many surprises' and historic background, particularly famous for it’s black and white structures (Chester Rows). As well as exploring this wonderful city, you could take a walk along the historic Roman walls where you can view the entire city, including the UK's oldest racecourse and the Eastgate Clock. Meet back with us in the afternoon as we enjoy an included 2 hour cruise on the river Dee with a cream tea or coffee, freshly baked scone with cream and jam.

Day 4

After breakfast, we have a short journey to the Anderton Boat Lift for a 1 hour trip with commentary and admission into the exhibition centre. Described as one of the 'Seven Wonders of the Waterways', it is a giant three-storey-high iron edifice on the banks of the River Weaver Navigation. With a visitor centre, coffee shop, play area and nearby Northwich Woodlands, it makes for a great excursion. After an enjoyable visit, we head back home in the afternoon.

Prices

The price is based on two full fare paying passengers sharing a twin/double room. Child and infant prices only apply when sharing with two full fare paying passengers. Any bookings made online showing an incorrect price will be amended.
