Return to one of the best musical eras on our new 60’s themed break to Blackpool. Enjoy nightly themed entertainment as we reminisce the swinging sixties and we include a visit to a cheese factory, lunch cruise and tour a unique stately home.
Morning departure from your local pickup point, we make our way to Skipton for some free time. There's plenty to see and do, from its famous 900 year old castle, romantic ruined priory to the historic cobbled High Street crammed full of boutiques. Mid afternoon we continue our journey to Blackpool.
Free day in Blackpool. Within just a 10 minute walk from the hotel you can reach the top attractions such as the famous Tower, Central and North Pier as well as the town centre.
We begin the day at Dewlay Cheese Factory. The tour begins with a Dewlay history talk, followed by a walk along the viewing Gallery to see the cheese being made and finishing off with a cheese tasting. From here we take a short drive to Barton Grange Garden Centre where we have a delightful cruise through the North Lancashire Countryside. During the cruise we will be served a selection of sandwiches, a fruit scone filled with butter, jam & fresh cream and tea/coffee.
Morning visit to Fleetwood Market, a traditional seaside coastal market with an enormous variety of stalls - a shoppers paradise! We return to Blackpool for the afternoon.
After breakfast, we check out of the hotel and visit Bury Market on our way home.
Located close to the town centre, the 3 star Ruskin Hotel offers modern guest rooms, tasty freshly made meals and popular live entertainment. From the hotel it is just a 5 minute walk to Blackpool Tower and its attractions including Sea Life Centre and Madame Tussauds. The hotel has a lift.
