Hayling Island & Portsmouth

Set just off the south coast, close to Portsmouth, Hayling Island combines all the attractions of a traditional seaside holiday with miles of unspoilt coastline. It is a haven of peace and tranquillity yet still close to the main tourist attractions in nearby Portsmouth.

Day 1

Morning departure from your local pickup point, we make our way south to Hayling Island with comfort stops en route.

Day 2

Today you can choose to have a free day or join our included excursion to Winchester. Standing proud is one of southern England's most awe-inspiring buildings, the 11th-century Winchester Cathedral which is well worth a visit. Other highlights to see in the city include Winchester Castle’s Great Hall - which houses a museum of Winchester’s history, the ruins of Wolvesey Castle; also known as the Old Bishop’s Palace, the restored Winchester City Water Mill on the river Itchen, and not forgetting the quirky shops for those looking for some retail therapy.

Day 3

Our excursion today takes us to Portsmouth where we include a visit to the Historic Dockyard. Your admission includes entry to one of the attractions. Choose from HMS Victory, Mary Rose Museum, HMS Warrior 1860 and HMS M.33 as well as the Dockyard Apprentice Exhibition. Afterwards you will have free time in Portsmouth.

Day 4

Half day excursion with the morning in Chichester. Highlights include the cathedral and Novium Museum which was purpose built to show the remains of a Roman bath house, which are now uncovered for visitors to see. We return to Hayling Island for the afternoon.

Day 5

Sadly we say farewell to Hayling Island and make our way home.
