Back by popular demand, we are returning to the Isle of Wight, for an Island of only 147 square miles, the Isle of Wight packs in so much to see and do at all times of the year. Wildlife parks, historic houses, children’s attractions and areas of stunning natural beauty abound, with the Island’s compact size ensuring that whatever you want to do, something exciting is only a short journey away. The Isle of Wight remains unspoiled, and its abundance of natural beauty makes it a feast for the senses.

Day 1

After being collected from your local pick up point we make our way down South for the ferry crossing to the Isle of Wight. Once checked in at the Channel View Hotel, enjoy an evening meal and a relaxing atmosphere taking in the sights from the Osborne Room overlooking the bay of Shanklin.

Day 2

Today, enjoy a free day in the traditional seaside town of Shanklin. Nestled in the bay between Sandown and Ventnor, Shanklin regularly tops the charts for the number of sunshine hours. Walk the Isle of Wight Coastal Path (Shanklin to Sandown), soak your toes in the unspoiled shores or visit Shanklin Old Village. The Old Village is a small part of Shanklin Town, it contains some of the oldest dwellings on the Island of which the majority are Thatched, it is famous for its small Gift Shops, Tea Rooms, Pubs & Restaurants.

Day 3

After breakfast, we have a lovely excursion to Osborne House, which offers something for everyone to enjoy. Inside the house, get an intimate glimpse into royal life as you explore private apartments and grand reception rooms lined with furnishings and artworks from the Royal Collection. Outside, wander among flower-filled gardens, discover the quirky museum in the Swiss Cottage and relax on the beach where the royal children learnt to swim. On to our next stop, we visit Godshill and spend the afternoon in this quintessential English village. As well as beautiful architecture and tearooms, Godshill also has a very popular and highly detailed model village.

Day 4

Today’s morning excursion takes us to Ryde. With long, spacious stretches of sandy beach, a thriving independent shopping scene and fabulous eating out, Ryde is a quirky mix of a traditional seaside fun, Victorian architecture and unexpected hidden gems! Mid-afternoon, we are ‘all aboard’ the Isle of Wight Steam Railway with a return journey where you will enjoy a delightful afternoon tea.

Day 5 (6 day tour only)

We have an exciting day of exploring beginning with an excursion to Alum Bay! We visit the Needles Landmark Attraction – The Isle of Wight’s most visited tourist attraction. Located at the most westerly tip of the Isle of Wight, The Needles is famous for the three chalk stacks called The Needles and the lighthouse which was manned until 1994. Also home to Alum Bay’s, world renowned multicoloured sand cliffs. Set in heritage coastline, offering a range of attractions for all, The Needles has a spectacular chairlift (not included) which carries people to the beach and provides marvellous views of the Islands. The day doesn’t end there, in the afternoon we make a short journey to Ventnor, a beautiful seaside town with a lovely esplanade walk filled with unique cafes, shops and ice cream parlours. Take a walk down the beach to the small Ventnor Haven Fishery, Rotunda Bandstand viewing point or the Longshoremans Museum. We make our way back to the hotel after a fun-filled day to our evening meal.
