Somerset Turkey & Tinsel

Join us for a midweek turkey and tinsel break to Somerset. The festive season starts early as we squeeze all the best bits of Christmas and New Year into 5 days.

Day 1

Morning departure from your local pickup point, we make our way to Somerset arriving at the hotel mid afternoon.

Day 2

Full day in Weston-super-Mare. The town is steeped with Victorian history and dominated by a long stretch of glorious beach. No visit would be complete without strolling along the Grand Pier. Don’t forget to visit the Museum of Memories, where you’ll be transported way-back-when through memorable foods, toys and tv shows.

Day 3

We begin the day in Wells. This compact quintessential English village is actually a city and is crammed with cobbled streets, medieval architecture and a market square. Later we visit Glastonbury. It is most well-known for its annual music festival, but is also described by some as the 'quirkiest town in England'.

Day 4

Today we visit Taunton. The town offers plenty from individual boutiques to historic architecture and unspoilt views across the Blackdown Hills. Browse the shops on the pedestrian High Street and begin the Christmas shopping.

Day 5

After a leisurely start to the day we make our return journey home.

The Wessex Hotel

The hotel is situated in Street and just a short walk from Clarks Retail Shopping Village. All the guest rooms are modern with en suite and TV. The hotel has a lift.
